MICROSOCKETS awarded Gold status by Renesas Alliance Partner Program

MicroSockets has been awarded Gold status by the Renesas Alliance Partner program in recognition of its activities supporting the Renesas product portfolio.

Gold status in the Renesas Alliance Partner program recognizes organizations that provide value to Renesas customers and support the ongoing development of the Renesas technology ecosystem. Criteria include design wins, certifications, staffing levels and cooperation with Renesas in promoting and supporting embedded systems development across its CISC and RISC architectures.

MicroSockets entered the program in 2007 to work with Renesas to support adoption of SuperH microcontrollers and microprocessors with boot loader and RTOS development. Over the past year, MicroSockets has expanded support to the entire Renesas portfolio with development under way for lightweight platform tools targeting 16-bit microcontroller systems.

"The Alliance Program represents a shift in the corporate culture at Renesas," remarked Michael Terry, President of MicroSockets. "There is a growing understanding that great products just aren't enough. The program connects companies like MicroSockets with Renesas customers to drop the barriers to product adoption."

MicroSockets expects to continue and expand its participation the program throughout 2008 and in the coming years. Upcoming activities include participation in the first North American Developer's Conference this October in San Diego. We look forward to seeing you at the event.
