Stock Equipment Company Ships Next Generation Precipitator Control

Stock Equipment Company has announced the availability of its latest generation of high performance voltage controller for electrostatic precipitators. The Forry® AVC X.M is a multi-processor control system featuring an advanced graphical interface and digital signal processing engine. The AVC X.M provides a major leap forward in precipitator control providing advanced diagnostics and improved reliability resulting in reduced power plant emissions.

The AVC X.M control is a complex multi-component system utilizing ColdFire, Freescale DSP and ARM subsystems to create a comprehensive, scalable and networked control system for high voltage control. The diverse digital systems are utilized to provide the unique combination of real-time performance and user interface capabilities necessary for high-speed embedded control with a user-friendly hand held diagnostic interface.

MicroSockets provided highly specialized development services to Stock throughout the development lifecycle of the AVC X.M. Specific responsibilities included real-time operating system development, low-level monitor firmware and graphical interface development.
